Bobetski Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 Hi to everyone on the ford Galaxy owners forums. I am in need of help. I will try to write as brief an explaination as possible with the questions at the end so please bear with me!! I own a Ford Galaxy 1.9TD1 (130) Ghia registered as 55 plate. (VW Engine) It has been fully Ford serviced from New I have gone from 23K in Sept 2007 to 40K miles in April this yr due to commuting 80 miles/day to and from work. As a result the service intervals are obviously closer (every 2-3 months). the 40K service did not go as planned. 1. I was told a new cambelt was needed at Quote
searcher Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 Your not having a good time with your Gal are you.I cant help much with the other things but thw wheels are well known for corrosion. As you said water gets under the surface.Have a look at other Gals with the Ghia wheels and most of them will have the same problem. Quote
stevie m Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 When i owned my gal the wheels had the same problem it made the gal look horrible. I had them done by someone i knew at the time for Quote

Emily's dad Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 Do you belong to any motoring organisations, AA, RAC, IAM etc. Often they have some sort of legal helpline who may be able to help and often they carry a bit more clout than the individual.Similarly you may have some help under your insurance policy as if you took out the legal cover they may too be of some assistance. Bobetski Posted April 30, 2008 Author Report Posted April 30, 2008 Thanks Emily's Dad for the advice I think it will come to this I am currently driving around an expensive engine with a repaired sump plug insert and no warranty through no fault of my own Ford customer 'care' ha ha!! have said if i pay 10% of the repair it is warrantied but if I dont its not. my prinicpal is that the dealer ruined the plug and thread so why should I pay anything. Guess what the reply was back from Leanne at customer care?? "I cant understand why you are moaning"??!! I think things have gone to a new level Thanks again Alan Quote
